CRISCI Engineering, a Division of Team Crisci Racing
BRIGGS AND STRATTON RACING ENGINE
Built in 2013 and first used in the 2014 racing season, this motor, carburetor, fuel cell, and exhaust were assembled by CRISCI Engineering. The project included valve & piston timing, camshaft and crankshaft installation, flywheel timing, piston ring installation, and full block and head assembly. This motor is used today by Team Crisci Racing.
TOMAR RACING CLUTCH BY QUARTER MASTER
CRISCI Engineering built from scratch a two-disk Tomar Racing clutch as seen above. In 2014, the team disassembled and re-worked a two-disk clutch as well. The original clutch had to be rebuilt after the engine wasn't tightened enough after switching gears out, which allowed it to be jarred loose during racing action and driving the clutch into the catch can. The new clutch included installation of disks, new weights, re-painting of clutch guard, and the installation and calibration of the clutch springs to fit the desired RPM for engagement.
FIBERGLASS RACING BODY
The body run by TCR in the World Karting Association - Speedway Pavement Grand Nationals at Chapel Hill Raceway in August '13 was completely designed and assembled by CRISCI Engineering. The side panels and nose were from different models, and had to be physically altered to fit together properly and for the best aerodynamic results. The original finish was the glossy white top layer of the fiberglassed casing, so the team went ahead with the new design once the body was properly assembled. This included a full paint job in the signature Snapper Red coloring, along with the scheme itself, an ode to racing legends, the Earnhardt family. The scheme is based on Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s Wrangler #3 ran in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at Daytona in July of 2010, which was a tribute to his father's famous paint scheme in the number he made famous. The 25 font is the original Childress #3 font, and a variation of this scheme (on a new body) is run today by TCR for all dirt events.
TRAILER INTERIOR
BEFORE
AFTER
In TCR's inaugural season, the true first CRISCI Engineering project was born. The project included the repair of taillights on a trailer, the painting of the interior, and installation of storage cabinets, turning the wooden trailer into the hauler and center of race team operations for Team Crisci Racing.
