The time has come to get back to racing in the real world, and with NASCAR's return next Sunday May 17th at Darlington Raceway, many of the series in the iRacing world that have been born out of the stay-at-home era are coming to a close. This weekend, the Team Crisci Racing will be participating in the finale for both the Roush Performance iRacing Series, and the Kickin' The Tires Lower Half Dash.
The Roush Performance Series will conclude on Friday night, May 8th, at 7:00 PM from iRacing's Watkins Glen International, LIVE on the Roush Performance Facebook page. The race will feature some of the best drivers in professional sports car racing from the "Boot" layout at WGI. TCR has some experience on the iRacing version of the famed upstate NY circuit, but that race was the second week of the Lower Half Dash, featuring Pro 2 off-road dirt trucks and around the NASCAR Cup series layout. The Ford GT sports cars will be a totally different animal, and with the "Boot" section of the course being included this time around, the track will certainly pose a challenge.
Then, it all comes to an end for the Kickin' The Tires Lower Half Dash on a NEW night - SATURDAY May 9th - as the night-cap to the NASCAR iRacing Pro-Invitational race that evening at historic North Wilkesboro Speedway. Following that race, which will feature NASCAR's top drivers live on FOX and FS1, the Lower Half Dash will have its final race as well, LIVE at 8PM on STN Racing's channel on YouTube. The track and car combination have yet to be announced, but given how awesome and crazy the combinations have been thus far in the series, it's bound to be a combination that will produce incredible action.
