***CLOCK STRIKES MIDNIGHT ON TCR's LATE LEAD CINDERELLA RUN IN LOWER HALF DASH***

An awesome run for Team Crisci Racing at e-Watkins Glen came to a sputtering end on the final lap, as the fuel strategy call by David Crisci ended up just half a lap short!

Regardless of the end, the strategy call made for a great race for TCR, as Crisci inherited the lead with just 5 laps to go in the race.

RESULTS AND HIGHLIGHTS: LOWER HALF DASH ROUND 2

After starting 19th, he drove up to 15th by the first caution. After pitting for fuel, he came out 10th for the restart. He drove up to 7th and hung around the top-10 until a caution with 7 laps to go ... Crisci was in the 3rd position, and when the leaders pitted, Crisci made the call to stay out and take the lead.

Crisci restarted the race in the 1st position with just 5 laps of the 25 remaining, but was running out of fuel and had much more worn out tires than the field behind him, as he didn't change tires the entire race up to that point. Crisci held onto the lead diving down into turn 1, but 2nd place driver and series points leader Tanner Berryhill caught the bumper of Crisci coming out of the corner, and sent them both up the track. Crisci maintained the 4th position after falling back in line for the next portion of the lap, and then entering the bump stop made contact with eventual-winner Bayley Currey. The contact lifted the front 2 tires off of the ground on the #6 truck, but Crisci gathered it back up without spinning but fell just outside the top-10. After some great racing with drivers for the 10th-12th spot on the final lap, Crisci's motor sputtered heading down the backstretch and he coasted to a halt. He was credited with the first position -1 lap, and with 19 cars on the lead lap, ended the day in 20th spot.

Despite the finish position, it was a great race and Crisci slowly worked his way up towards the front and got to battle it out with some of NASCAR's talented racers.
