***TCR WINS SR. ROOKIE EVENT***

TCR brought it home this weekend in the #25 Millenium Kart. Driver David Crisci got a jump on long-time racetrack announcer Rick Ryder in the Vandermeulen Blue Deuce #2 on the start, and never looked back. Crisci finished nearly a lap ahead of the 2, but Ryder still finished on the lead lap. In addition to the win, TCR also ran our fastest lap yet around the OVS circuit, with an average speed of 49.728 MPH.
Driver David Crisci was very satisfied with the handling of the racecar throughout the evening. "We had a small mechanical mishap before our second heat, where we accidentally left 2 lbs. of extra tire pressure in the right sides, which lead to our spin in turns 3 & 4. It wasn't a huge problem given the circumstances, but it can't happen again - not if we want to become consistently competitive."
It was a successful day overall, and the kart will now be worked on this week by TCR and will be back next week to try to repeat on the victory. Lap times and speeds can be found on the 6/9/12 lap times page and photos from the weekend can be found in the photo gallery.
