***TCR WINS SR. ROOKIE EVENT***

TCR backed up it's outstanding performance last week by taking a trip to victory lane for the second week in a row. The whole team overcame multiple issues throughout the day, starting with having the kart fall over during transport to the track, smacking the wall off of turn 4 during the feature, and having an extra 4 oz. of oil spewed out of the engine during the second heat, causing the car and driver to start smoking. Luckily, no one was injured during the mishap and we have installed a new filter onto the oil overflow valve to prevent any similar event to happen again.
In the first heat, driver David Crisci had a comfortable lead on the second place #21 car, until a half-course caution came out with the #11 car spinning in turn 4. However, there was some miscommunication on the race track, as Crisci thought it was a full-course caution and slowed to lineup, only to have the #21 fly by him with 2 laps to go. We did end up winning the second heat, however, giving us the pole for the feature. The #25 car was fast all day, and we were able to pull away from the rest of the field.
There were a few scares when Crisci made contact with the wall coming out of turn 4 in addition to a late-race caution, letting the field catch up. However, TCR was able to put enough distance between our car and the field and was able to get the victory for the second week in a row. Lap times, including our fastest lap yet (under 14 seconds and over 51 mph) are posted and photos can be found in the photo gallery.
