TCR eSPORTS - DAYTONA CHARITY RACE - FRIDAY AUG 5

Tonight, TCR eSports returns to the virtual high-banks of Daytona International Speedway in the iRacing.com NASCAR Xfinity stock cars, for a 50-lap charity race. The race will raise funds for the family of Alex Nedd, a member of the NASCAR media family who recently came down with an autoimmune disease. As of Friday evening, the campaign has raised over $17,000 to help Alex out. The event will feature stars of the NASCAR media and community on the virtual racing platform iRacing.

Tonight's race follow's TCR eSports' return to the iRacing world, entering the 2022 BSR SuperSpeedway Showdown series, who's opening race was Tuesday night. The series spans 13 weeks, racing every Tuesday evening at 7:30 PM live on BSR Racing, at superspeedway pack-racing style track and car layouts. The opening race on Tuesday night also featured the NASCAR Xfinity cars at Daytona, in a 55-lap feature, in which driver Dave Crisci came home 6th out of 23 cars. The familiarity should help out in tonight's event, but as with every superspeedway race, big wrecks can break out at any time, and anything can happen.

Tune in tonight at 9PM on Elite Racing Network's YouTube channel for the event! Driver Dave Crisci will be piloting the black and purple #52 machine.

*** TEAM CRISCI RACING - 2021 TAYLORSVILLE FAIRGROUNDS CHAMPIONS ***

Team Crisci Racing has officially been crowned the 2021 Clone Heavy Champions at Taylorsville Fairgrounds! The title is the team's first track championship and was wrapped up in the season finale on Saturday, November 6th. Driver David Crisci won the championship by just 2 points over the #14 team that finished in the runner-up position.

This season was the team's first in North Carolina, and featured races on three tracks - Millbridge Speedway for the season-opening Milltona 500, the Dirt Track at Charlotte for the WKA Grand Nationals, and the season championship run at Taylorsville Fairgrounds, affectionately known as "Turkey Lynn's Dirt Track".

The effort this season was amazing, with so many changes happening with the team - a new trailer, two new engines (and new classes never before run by TCR - Predator and Clone), and three new tracks. From competing for the national championship at Charlotte Motor Speedway, to wrapping up the Clone Heavy track championship at Taylorsville Fairgrounds, it was a season for the history books!

Stay tuned for photos from the awards ceremony and year-end track banquet, which will be taking place in the upcoming weeks!

Thanks to everyone who's had a hand in getting Team Crisci Racing to this feat, that's been years in the making! We can't wait for 2022!

TCR Wraps Up WKA Charlotte Nationals

CONCORD, NC - The first WKA race for TCR in 8 seasons is complete. The journey to make the race at The Dirt Track at Charlotte was a rough road, and the team battled through lots of adversity. The first race running a clone motor, the first race on Maxxis tires, gearing changes, hung throttle, cracked fuel tank, clogged carburetor, and about anything you can imagine went wrong for the #25 bunch. But the team toughed it out and fought until the end to be able to run the feature race!

It was a learning experience to get to race against the top traveling kart teams in the nation, and to compete on the superspeedway that is The Dirt Track. The team did a great job getting the #25 machine dialed in and the handling of the kart was on point. Unfortunately, between the engine performance of a rebuilt motor compared to brand new motors for much of the field, and once the tire prep fell off in the feature race, the team didn't have enough to compete with the soaked tires of the field. All in all, it was a great experience for the team to be able to compete in such a big event, and the knowledge and experience gained was intangible.

WKA NATIONALS @ CHARLOTTE MOTOR SPEEDWAY THIS WEEKEND

CONCORD, NC - TCR @ WKA NATIONALS ADVANCE

Team Crisci Racing will be participating in the World Karting Association's Maxxis Speedway Dirt Series national event at the famed Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The track that hosts the World Finals of the World of Outlaws Sprint Car series will be where the WKA calls home next weekend, April 14-16th. There are two days of feature racing Friday April 15th and Saturday the 16th, with move-in on Thursday afternoon the 14th.

TCR last competed in a WKA national event in 2013 at Chapel Hill Raceway in Olean, NY. Prior to the 2020 season, this was the last grand national event for the WKA oval series outside of their traditional Daytona Kart Week event. The series has returned as the 2021 WKA Maxxis Speedway Dirt Series presented by Summit Racing Equipment. TCR had a fantastic run in their WKA debut that weekend, finishing 2nd in the overall points for the grand nationals weekend.

The team will be running in the Clone Super Heavys Class on both nights, debuting a Clone motor for the first time along with a first-ever run on Maxxis tires.

Follow along this week on the TCR social channels for updates and coverage as the underdog team prepares for what will be the biggest race of the season!

**TCR Just Shy of Top-10 in Millbridge Debut

TCR capped off their Millbridge Speedway and DNQ Series debut with an 11th-place finish in the ARCA series A-main feature on Sunday!

In the practice/qualifying session, the team had issues with the engine getting up to power. It was sure to be a learning experience, as the predator motor was completely new to the team. It was a disappointing 16th-place qualifying, running over 2 seconds off the pace of the leaders. The team quickly solicited the help of some other racers at the track, including an old friend from driver David Crisci’s time at GoFas Racing, for help. The team made some adjustments to the motor’s fuel intake that they previously hadn’t been taking advantage of.

The team bounced back in the feature race, picking off spots through the 25-lap caution-filled race, en route to an 11th place finish.

It was definitely the learning experience we expected, and there’s still lots to learn! The team will definitely make some more adjustments as we go on throughout the season to get the most power out of the kart as possible. The good news is the handling was great, and it was also a great experience to start learning a brand new track to find the fast racing lines.

Overall a great debut for the team at Millbridge! Looking forward to our next race in the DNQ Series in March (schedule below on the side bar), and some possible test sessions before then!
